Formed in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1987 by singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic, Nirvana became one of the foundations of modern rock and roll culture. Nirvana went through a succession of drummers, the longest-lasting and best-known being Dave Grohl, who joined in 1990. Nirvana has sold over 75 million records worldwide.

Kurt Cobain wrote “Heart-Shaped Box” in early 1992. Cobain forgot about the song for a while but began working on it again when he and his wife, Courtney Love, moved to a house in the Hollywood Hills. Nirvana had difficulty completing the song. Cobain said, “During those practices, I was trying to wait for Krist and Dave to come up with something but it just turned into noise all the time.” Commemorate one of the most well-known songs from the album In Utero with this shirt!
